Hardcopy is a nice and very easy to use tool for saving printscreens. It runs in the background and doesn’t stress your system at all. The configuration is very simple. I personally use the “Pause” button to make rectangle printscreens to my clipboard.

Quickstart with this tool

  • Download the tool at http://www.hardcopy.de/hc.exe
  • Install the tool
  • Check your taskbar:  “Rightclick > Show Window” to the new icon
  • Make the quick settings like in the printscreen below

Meanwhile I use http://getgreenshot.org, recommended by my colleague. It’s for free, not advertisement and also very simple.
