Introduction

In a former post, I recommended Rocket Dock as application launcher in Windows. The tool is for free an really cool. But with my 64-bit Windows 7, I often had problems when shutting down the computer. The Rocket Dock process was hanging and interrupted the shutdown process. I searched for an alternative – and found ObjectDock.

ObjectDock

ObjectDock is a similar tool which is produced by the company Stardock and available under http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock. It is an animated dock for shortcuts and widgets.

As the image above illustrates, it is possible to place an application dock like Rocket Dock was. But the user can place multiple docks and additionally a so called Tabbed Dock for placing important documents, links or whatever. The tool costs $9.99 and is the money worth. Have fun!
